SAFETY
Elegant yet safe, the Peugeot 107 has been judged worthy of a 4 star rating in the Euro NCAP tests for the protection of adult occupants. The suspension, full braking system, reinforced structure, up to 6 air bags*, headrests and seat belts, all combine to make the 107 a very secure vehicle.

Airbags
Passenger protection in the event of collision is guaranteed by a maximum of 6 air bags : 2 front air bags for the driver and the front passenger, 2 front side air bags and 2 front/rear curtain air bags to protect the heads of the front and rear passengers (option depending on the versions). The passenger air bag can be neutralised to allow for the fitting of a child seat.
EBFD, ESP, CSC
All Peugeot 107s are equipped as standard with EBFD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), ESP* and CSC (Cornering Stability Control) which improves stability when applying bend brakes.

Seat belts
The 107 has an Isofix mounting system and a third anchoring point at the rear seats.
It is also equipped with pretensioning front seat belts with a force limiter to minimise the risk of physical injury to the driver and front seat passenger. Passengers in the rear are protected by 3-point inertia reel seat belts.
An audio* and visual warning indicate if the driver seat belt is unfastened.

Reinforced Structure
In the event of vehicle impact, the design of the body frame of the107 allows for energy to be absorbed, thereby protecting the occupants.The passenger compartment is made secure by attaching the engine to the subframe and also by a strip and strengthening pipe inside the doors. The front bumper has a high absorption capacity thanks to a beam mounted on shock absorbers bolted to the chassis legs.
