A message from PEUGEOT IRELAND

At PEUGEOT IRELAND (Gowan Distributors), the health and well-being of our customers and employees is our number one priority.


The significantly stronger measures, announced by Government, to the fight against Covid-19, came into effect from midnight Friday, 27th of March last. Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said that what happens next in this public health emergency is up to each and every one of us and urged people to show that they care by staying at home.


Businesses involved in the repair of motor vehicles have now been removed from the list of essential retail outlets that can stay open, and have been reclassified as businesses that can only offer emergency call-out or delivery services.


Following this advice, PEUGEOT dealerships are now closed and we have asked each dealership to put in place the appropriate measures to provide this emergency call out service for their customers.

Car collections and sales enquires


If you have purchased a new or used car and are due to collect it, we would ask our customers to please stay at home for now and contact your dealership in order to make alternative arrangements. Should you have sales enquiries our teams would be happy to answer any of your queries over the phone and by email and we very much look forward to welcoming you back to our showrooms in the future.


Car service and warranty repair


Should you have a routine service, or warranty repair booked with your local dealership over the next couple of weeks, we would ask you to please stay at home and reschedule this appointment once our dealerships are back open and business resumes.


Please rest assured that any delay will not affect the warranty on the vehicle during this period. During the COVID-19 crisis a tolerance on the maintenance interval will be applied and a customer can if required, postpone the maintenance on their vehicle up to 3000 km or 3 months after the recommendation of the maintenance plan.


We would, however, ask that you please ensure engine oil and engine coolant levels are maintained within the normal range, and that you refer to your Owner’s Manual or My PEUGEOT App, should you require any non-urgent assistance.
