How to configure the services of the Connected Navigation Pack incl. the Speedcam Alerts in my car?
Your vehicle is equipped with a connected navigation and its services, the main settings that make you take full advantage of these services are described below:
With the Connected Navigation Pack, you can display the traffic, Danger Zones, petrol stations/public charging stations, parking lots and weather, on the screen. To do this, press the "Navigation" button, then the "Quick Menu" icon at the bottom right of the screen
Select the desired services
With Connected Navigation and its services, you can display petrol stations and fuel prices on the screen. Display is only allowed in 2D mode.
To do this, press the "Navigation" button, then the "Quick Menu" icon at the bottom right of the screen
Press "POI on map"
The screen below appears. Find and select the "Service station" option from the drop-down list. Click on the blue gas station icon.
To configure the audible alert:
Press the "Navigation" button then press "MENU", then press "Settings" and "Alerts". Switch "Alert danger zones" to "On" and press the triangle. Finally, check the box "Play an audible alert". The sound level of the danger zone alerts alarm is the same as that of the guidance instructions of the connected navigation system, it cannot be differentiated. This volume should be set in the audio settings for each profile (voice menu). You can however keep the audible alert for danger zone alerts and deactivate the guidance instructions in the settings of the connected navigation system.
To declare a danger zone:
Just click on the triangle at the top left of the display of the connected navigation and confirm the presence of a danger zone - see picture on right. A message confirms that the declaration has been taken into account. Each time you declare * a maximum authorized speed, you will send an alert to TomTom. If several users send the same alert to the same zone, then TomTom will validate it by signaling this new danger zone to all users in the community.
* Only speed can be reported.
If the triangle does not appear, Press the "Navigation" button then press "MENU", then press "Settings" and "Map". Check the "Authorize the declaration of danger zone" box.
The representation of the cartography can be improved thanks to a 3D modeling of the buildings with a photorealistic display of the main monuments, for the big European cities and a taking into account of the altitude to represent the valleys, hills and mountains.
To activate 3D display mode:
Press the "Navigation" button, then "Settings" and "Appearance". Then select the "Perspective" option, then activate the 3D visualization of the land and buildings by selecting "ON".
Confirm by pressing OK - see picture on left.
To activate 2D display mode:
Press the "Navigation" button, then "Settings" and "Appearance". Then select the "North or vehicle oriented" option.
Confirm by pressing OK.
